THE 2017 INTERN PROGRAM

Applications are now available on the BIC website for the 2017 summer Intern Program. Since its inception, the Intern Program has provided a valuable and rewarding experience to all of its participants and has been an essential part of the Club’s success. If you will be 15 or 16 this coming summer, we ask that you read more about the Intern Program below and consider sharing your enthusiasm for the Club by applying to be an Intern! If you have any questions about the program, please contact Chris Bergan by email at chrisbergan@gmail.com

We look forward to hearing from you!

JUNIOR INTERNS

Teens who turn 15 by June 15, 2017 are eligible to apply for this program.  Junior Interns (“Juniors”) will assist the club manager and staff with daily duties and will support the staff in program areas (arts & crafts, sailing, swimming and tennis).  Juniors may rotate through more than one program area during the summer, depending on their skills and the Club’s needs.  We anticipate that Juniors will work 15-20 hours per week, for 3-5 weeks during the summer; this will be determined based on the final staffing configuration, the Junior’s skills and the Club’s needs.

Requirements for Junior Interns:

  • Age 15 by June 15, 2017

  • A 3-5 week commitment to the Club

  • Completion of a Red Cross Adult/Child First Aid with CPR class

  • Receipt of a completed intern application by March 1, 2017
