Wednesday Home regatta wit Stonington is cancelled.

Thursday Thursday Night Races
Races begin at 6:00. Bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer and come spectate from the lawn.

Tanner's last day. Come say goodbye to our favorite Head Tennis Instructor!

Saturday Annual Meeting of the Club 12:00 noon
All members of the Club are invited to attend.

Summer Celebration Party
Join us in our final gathering of the summer form 6:30-9:30. Awards and yearbooks will be given out. Pot luck sign up in the Clubhouse. Dessert contest for the kids!

Summer Celebration Party
8.10.2010

The final party of the season is this Saturday night from 6:30-9:30 at the Clubhouse. Please join us to celebrate our wonderful 2010 season. Awards and yearbooks will be handed out. Potluck sign up in the Clubhouse and dessert contest for the kids!

Hal Madison Race this Saturday
8.2.2010

The Block Island Club will host the 26th annual sailing of the Hal Madison Race on Saturday, August 7. The day begins with a skipper's meeting at the Club at 10 am for sign-ups and distribution of information about the course and starting sequence. The race committee expects to set up an around-the-buoys course off the island's west side. The starting line with be north or south of the Great Salt Pond entrance, depending upon the wind. PHRF handicaps will be used. The first gun for the start will be at 12:00 noon. There will be an awards party following the race at the club. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in the spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes. The perpetual Harold and Virginia Madison Trophy goes to the overall winner with the best corrected time. Proceeds of the race will again be contributed to the Mary D Fund. The Fund, managed by town nurse Mary Donnelly, assists island residents in need. Sailors may call the club at 401-466-5939 for more information.

Open House August 1st

Come see the Block Island Club and meet some of our instructors and members. We are hosting an open house Sunday morning for anyone interested in tennis, sailing, kayaking and other programs. As always, people are welcome to stop by whenever the Club is open to inquire about membership.

Kids' Dance Friday July 30th

Don't miss this annual favorite for the kids. Dress up a little, put your groove on and join us at the Clubhouse from 6:00-9:00 pm. Kids must be at least 10 years old to attend. Two tickets.

Staff Appreciation Day This Monday

If you love the staff, show them how much this Monday! Kids often make cards or bring small gifts/goodies for their favorite staff members on this day, an annual event at the Club. We top the morning off with ice cream cones for everyone at 12:30!

Kids' BBQ This Tuesday

The water BBQ for kids is scheduled for this Tuesday, July 27th from 6:00-8:00. Kids come in your suits for water fun followed by hamburgers, hot dogs and s'mores. All kids aged 6 and over are welcome. Cost is two tickets.

Ken Legler Clinic this Wednesday

Sign up at the Clubhouse for this annual day long event. Ken is a nationally ranked coach and is here to give a day long clinic to our experienced 420 sailors. Cost is 4 tickets for the day.
